  1. Completion of Karol Szymanowski’s cantata Agawe

The first performance of Szymanowski’s cantata Agawe was given in Warsaw on 7th October 2007, conducted by Lukasz Borowicz. This had been edited and completed by Malcolm Hill, and was broadcast live on Polskie Radio. A recording of the performance was transmitted on Polish Television on the following evening. Full details will be placed on this web-site in the near future.

3. Completions of choral works by Waller Goodworth (c.1859-1938)

Waller Goodworth was an uncle of Malcolm Hill’s mother (who inherited much of his music, some of which was in sketch only, others had many missing pages). Goodworth was originally a violinist/cyclist; but when one of his fingers became infected he had to cease being a violinist and became instrumental in encouraging the use of tonic sol far in England, taught at Trinity College of Music (where he had been a student) and produced many cyclists’ guides to parts of Europe (he was also one of the founders of the Cycling Club). The best of his works so far to be completed by Malcolm Hill is his Ut Queant which has received many performances by Bath’s Chandos Singers.
